In the late 60’s director Roman Polanski commissioned Vidal Sassoon, the maestro of geometric haircuts, to transform Mia Farrow into a boyish figure for her role at Rosemary’s Baby, while the same hairstylist developed the infamous 5-point-cut on the then model, and now US Vogue Creative Director, Grace Coddington. The pixie seen on model Twiggy and fashion designer Mary Quant was part of the same mod look, quite popular first in the UK and later everywhere else.
