Look After Your Skin
The best way to get rid of it is to prevent it from forming in the first place – and prevent it from getting worse. Cellulite is just fat.
The difference is that it forms strangely and usually gets worse with age.
By caring for your skin and looking after your muscle tone, you can prevent cellulite from becoming a problem and start the process of turning the clock back.
Do Regular Exercise
You need to exercise on a regular basis. This is the best way to look after the muscle tone. As we get older, the muscle tone naturally goes down while the level of fat goes up.
Get out running or walking on a regular basis to keep the blood pumping and the muscles working.
You can do little changes to remain active, like taking the stairs instead of the lift or parking further away from the office building.
Increase Your Exercise
As your body gets used to the amount of exercise you do, it will start to lose the benefit of it. The best thing you can do is increase your exercise amount.
You could walk further or decide to pick up the pace. Don’t let your muscles get used to your routine and keep helping them build in strength and tone.
Do Leg Exercises
The legs are the most common place to see cellulite. The annoying thing for the majority of women is gaining weight in the hips, buttocks and thighs.
To help keep your legs strong, you will need to do leg exercises, such as leg lifts and squats. This will not only help get rid of cellulite but it will make walking and other cardio workouts much easier.
Eat a Healthy Diet
Now that the exercise is taken care of, it is time to move onto the diet. Make sure you eat one that is high in nutrients and is healthy.
You don’t need to cut calories massively to lose weight – in fact, that makes you put on weight! Eat a healthy and balanced diet while focusing on exercise.
Avoid Foods that Cause Cellulite
There are some common foods that are linked to causing more cellulite. You probably guessed it that this is all your fried options, including chicken, chips and onion rings from the fast food joints.
Reduce the amount of bad fats that you eat.
Massage Your Skin
Keep the blood flowing around your legs – it tends to sink to your legs and feet due to gravity. Regularly massage your legs to help with this.
You can make this as part of your beauty regimen before you go to bed; it is a great way to make sure your skin remains hydrated with moisturising creams.
