If you’re in a rush, you still want your hair to look great. The problem is you need something that is quick and easy, and that usually leads to just leaving it down. However, you can look stylish without spending hours on your hair. Here are some quick and easy hairstyles to try out.
The Side Plait
Instead of throwing your hair up in a quick ponytail, brush it to one side and put a braid in it. If you do it when it is wet, you will usually find that short wispy bits hold in long enough to get the plait in and get out.
This is great to do during the day before a night out. The wet hair holds the shape so you have quick curls for the night.
The Ponytail
Just because it seems plain doesn’t mean you have to let it.
A ponytail is an excellent option for a quick out of the door look, and it stops your hair getting messy in the wind. Many women are able to put their hair in a ponytail without even needing a brush, and it is suitable for the majority of hair lengths.
The Messy Bun
If you don’t want the hair on your neck, why not try the messy bun? This is really simple to do.
Start as if you are putting your hair in a ponytail but stop pulling your hair through just before you pull the tips out. Then you repeat that until your hair is tied up fully. You can do a slight variation of this where you just tuck the tips underneath the bobble depending on your hair length.
The Braided Headband
When it comes to something a little more artistic, the braided headband is something to try. Take a lock of hair from underneath and braid it so it goes around the top of your head.
This look has become much more popular since the range of period dramas, particularly those set in the Middle Ages.
A Fishtail Plait
If you get bored of the normal braid, why not try a fishtail one? These are slightly trickier and will require some practise, but they are worth getting the hang of.
The look is great for all styles of hair as it keeps the wispy parts tucked in the whole time. This look is excellent when you’re trying to impress because it looks like you have spent hours getting ready.
Add an Alice Band
For those who like to keep their hair down but want something a little extra, the Alice band is the perfect option
. There are so many different styles and colours now available, so you’ll always find something that suits your outfit and look that you’re going for. You have a few options with these bands. You can push your fringe out of the way, or sit the band so the fringe stays out and in front. This all depends on your personal preference.
