Wouldn’t you love to look as young as your feel? The skin can deteriorate quickly, but with a few simple tips you can get rid of those fine lines and wrinkles. There’s no need to spend a fortune on creams and lotions that don’t quite work. Your makeup can do it all for you. Here are a few makeup tips to make your skin look naturally younger.
Use a Moisturiser Based Foundation
When the skin dries out, it makes you look older. When you are using makeup, look out for foundations that have a moisturiser in them. If you can’t find one, consider using a moisturising cream as a base layer instead. You should do this just after you exfoliate to help protect your pores from dirt and grime.
Even Your Skin Tone
It’s also worth looking for foundations that have a toner to them. This is great for evening out the skin tone, whether you want it to look lighter or darker. If you can’t find a good foundation for this, consider getting a moisturising cream with a toner to it. You could even use this instead of foundation to save on money, time and the products you put onto your skin.
Use Two Eyeliner Colours
Eyeliners are great for making the eyes stand out and with the right tips they make your face look younger. Use two colours, a lighter shade like peach and a darker one like brown. Place the darker colour on the top lids and the lighter colour on the bottom ones. Your eyes look brighter, wider and you don’t look as tired.
Opt for Creamy Blushes
Avoid the powder blushes. These sink into fine lines and wrinkles, making them look worse. The creams will avoid them and sit nicely on your cheeks. Just a hint of rouge will help your cheekbones stand out and you will instantly knock a few years off. Use a blusher brush for sweeping just a dap of the blusher up your cheeks.
Keep the Shades Lighter Where Possible
When it comes to your eyes, try to keep the shades lighter. They will take the emphasis away from the wrinkles and fine lines, making your skin look younger by the minute. Lilacs, neutral beiges, and silvers are great options. You could also work on matching them to your eye colour and eyeliner colour to really add to the effect.
Match Your Lip Liner and Lipstick
Make sure your lip liner and lipstick colours match. When this doesn’t happen, you instantly look dated and older than your years. The lip liner is supposed to help blend the naturally colour of your lips and skin in with the edges of the lipstick, so use it that way!
Remove Your Makeup at the End of the Day
Don’t go to bed with your makeup on! This is really bad for your skin and will affect the aging process. It doesn’t take long to remove all evidence of makeup at the end of the night. Warm soapy water is great, but there are also wipes designed for removing makeup available.
