You have the on-trend hair and the on-trend outfit, now if you only knew what to do with your face and nails, you would be good to go.
Golden Eyes
‘Pale and interesting’ is so last season, this Spring and Summer it is all bout sun kissed skin and gorgeous gold eyelids – sweep over the entire eyelid, or try something more subtle with some gold eyeliner. Golden lids were a big hit on the Spring/Summer 2014 catwalks being seen at Jason Wu, Christian Dior and Dries van Noten.

Orange Lips
If you only invest in one lipstick for the Spring/Summer season, make sure it is an orange one as it is sure to be the hottest shade. It was seen on the runways of the Spring/Summer 2014 collections from DKNY, Prabal Gurung, Nanette Lepore, Christian Siriano and Rag & Bone, to name just a few. The matte look was more popular on the catwalk, but don’t be afraid to go for some high-shine shades to make those lips look extra irresistible.

Nail Art
Plain nails are just not going to cut it this season, no matter how glossy and expertly manicured they are. This season it is all about the nail art – from the subtle to the over-the-top, exciting nail designs were all over the Spring/Summer 2014 catwalks, with the likes of House of Holland, Louis Vuitton, Rodarte, Topshop Unique, Vivienne Westwood and Marc Jacobs, all trying it out. How daring will you be with your nail art creations?

Heavy Eyeliner
Black eyeliner never, and I mean never, goes out of style – it is timeless and as an added bonus, it can really make those eyes pop; that’s why you find those Goth guys that hang around the centre of town so appealing. Be rebellious and use that eyeliner liberally, like was seen on the Spring/Summer 2014 catwalks of Versace, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, Stella McCartney and Missoni.

Aquarium Eyes
The blue and green shades of tropical seas and aquariums are a key beauty trend this season, not only to be seen on the nails, but also on the lids too. It can be quite a hard look to pull of blue and green eyes, so keep the rest of the make-up neutral and fresh. As seen on the Spring/Summer 2014 catwalks of Lela Rose, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Badgley Mischka.
