Cut Your Calories on a Daily Basis and Lose Weight

Making a lot of changes quickly is going to lead to not losing weight. You’ll give up because the mind resists as much change as possible. You need to reduce the amount of calories that you eat but that doesn’t mean it all needs to happen at once. Here are a few daily tips to ease the cutting of calories and make it easier to lose weight and keep it off.

Exercise First Thing on a Morning

Try not to leave the exercise to after you get home from work. The chances are you’re not going to want to do it. Instead, opt for exercising on a morning.

It will wake you up and get you ready for the day ahead. It is best to do it as soon as you get up, even if it is cold and dark outside. You’ll really appreciate the shower and your breakfast.

Smaller Meals More Often

Instead of eating three big meals a day with your snacks, break them down into smaller meals on a more regular basis.

This helps to control the rise and slump throughout the day so you are less likely to crave sweet things and hit those slumps at 11am and 3pm where all you want is chocolate. You will also keep your portions down, which decreases the amount of calories you eat.

Let Social Media Keep You Accountable

Post the things that you’ve eaten on social media. You don’t need to tell all your friends on your Facebook. It could be setting up a blog where you post your daily meals, your feelings and your exercise.

This trick simply makes you more accountable for your actions. You’re less likely to have that second biscuit with your tea and more likely to do well at the scales.

Turn the TV Off When You Eat

The TV is making you eat quicker. Other distractions are the same, including listening to the radio and reading a book. You won’t chew as much, either, which leads to digestive problems.

The best thing you could do is have someone to talk to while you eat. This slows your eating process down and gives your stomach time to tell your brain that you’re full.

Drink a Pint of Water Before Every Meal

The most common cause of hunger feelings is actually thirst. Your brain can’t distinguish between the hunger and the thirst feeling so tells you the former all the time.

Before you reach for a snack, have a pint of water. You may find that it satisfies that feeling. Before each meal, drink some water. It will start to fill you up so you eat less of the food on your plate.

Add Spice to Your Meals

Chilli peppers are great for your metabolism as they speed it up. Use it to your advantage by adding some to more of your meals.

You can even add them to some desserts! Not only will you help your metabolism, you’ll give yourself a new and exciting taste.
